This is it loves… welcome to our very last edition of our holiday mini sessions at The Knox! This has been a holiday tradition for dozens of families over the 6 years we’ve been running them. But all good things must come to an end, and this will be the last year we host our minis in this space (one of our favourite places, ever).
We want to make this year merrier than ever, and we plan to create a cozy, intimate holiday setting with both indoor and outdoor options for photographs. Angelica and Casey from the Calm & Collective team will be photographing the sessions (one photographer for each day) and we can’t wait to capture some beautiful memories for you and your loved ones!

How many people can we bring?
You can bring up to 6 people for the mini session.
Can we bring our pet?
Absolutely – this is a pet friendly environment! Both Angelica and Casey have dogs and we absolutely love including your pets in your session! Just give us a heads up if you plan to bring your pet, and we just ask that they stay on their leash throughout the session.
Is the session indoors or outdoors?
Both options are available – and you can choose whichever you prefer (or you can do both if you’d like)!
The sessions are being hosted at The Knox in Merrickville. It is a beautifully restored old church with gothic windows. The interior will be staged with a number of sets with minimal holiday decor. If you want, we can also take photos outdoors in the backyard area (with grass and trees / tall grass).
When & how will we receive our photos after the session?
You will receive your photos within 2 weeks after your session, well in time for use on holiday cards! We will send you an email with a link to an online (password protected) gallery where you can download all of your photos in full resolution. You can even share the link and password with any family and friends who would also like to view/download the photos!
What happens if we're late for our session?
As you can imagine, this is a quick session so it’s super (super) important to be on time! We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before your session starts (especially if you have kids/babies/pets) to get settled in, fix hair, do up buttons, and get all the little details straightened out before we start shooting. Once your session time starts, we want to maximize every minute so it’s best to be 100% ready to go when that happens.
If you are a couple minutes late to your session, we can do our best to get as many shots in the time we have left, but we can’t guarantee you’ll get much variety. If you end up being later than your entire time slot or do not show up to your session, the session will be considered “cancelled” by you and your payment will be kept as it is non-refundable.
We will have other clients booked before and after you, so changing or delaying your time slot on the day of our mini session is not possible.
What if we need to cancel?
If you need to cancel, please email us as soon as possible to let us know. Since we have a limited number of mini sessions available, the payment is non-refundable (as it is used to reserve your time slot).
